Brunch is by far my favorite meal! I enjoy the bloodiest Bloody Mary paired with a dish that has both breakfast and lunch in mind. Consisting of a contemporary take on that late morning/middle of the day meal, my top five brunch spots in Bucktown are definitely one of a kind. Whether you like whole-wheat pancakes, fruit, or a quarter pounder from 11 am – 3 pm one of these spots is for you!

I’m a big fan of charcuterie and that’s what initially caught my eye when it came to The Bristol. Cocktails and appetizers were amazing – why not try brunch? Low and behold – I became a big fan. I love the atmosphere, a little dim with reclaimed wood. Perfect for a date or a hungover Sunday morning. Ha! The brunch menu is diverse starting with a Pastry Board and travels all the way to a Quarter Pounder. I highly recommend trying a Cinnamon Roll if you have a sweet tooth. Not for you? Definitely go for the Braised Pork Chilaquiles. Yum!

Red Door is located within walking distance of The Bristol & is just as delicious. They have a vegan dinner menu on Tuesday and that’s what initially spurred my interest. They also support local farms and craft breweries which is always a step in the right direction. Their Mimosa on a Sunday morning makes the whole week worth it, made with fresh orange or grapefruit juice. I highly recommend the Croque Madame – smoked ham, aged cheddar, and béchamel.

What was once a bar with bar food now has an amazing brunch option! The reason why this spot made the list is two words – Infamous Horseshoe. Packed with two pieces of Texas toast open faced along with your choice of meats, eggs, and cheese – this is most definitely a splurge meal. Tastes great with a house Bloody Mary!
2046 N Damen Ave
Toast is a neighborhood staple! Located in two convenient locations – Toast has been in the Chicago area for 10 years. The extensive brunch menu entails all types of “Benedicts,” buttermilk pancakes, omelets, breakfast burritos, soups, salads, and much more.

Wildcard alert! I had to throw this one on the list because of how downright delicious this place is! Not your typical brunch food – their Sunday Noodles and Tapas menu is filled with items such as steamed squash and gyoza. I highly recommend trying the ramen with a Kyoto Blossom cocktail. The perfect pick me up!
